I am a seeker. Always have been. Hope I always will be. Seeking led me to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Seeking leads me to dig deep into the word of God. Seeking leads me to look with an unveiled face, into the mirror, to see whose reflection I see. I don't want it to be mine, I want it to be His.
I am a woman who prays to see things through the Father's eyes. My desire is to be refined and grow in grace, while encouraging others in their Christian journey. This site was created to challenge me to dig deeper into God's word, and hopefully encourage others to do the same.
But... who am I really?
My name is Robin Clifton and I am first and foremost a daughter of the King. A forgiven, redeemed, joyful disciple of Christ. I became a disciple by running away from myself and in so doing, found Christ. It all started when I ran away at 16...wanting to find a better life. After I was found, a Bible came to me in the mail, with no return address or note- just the Bible. And that is when my journey with Christ began - when I opened the pages of the powerful life changing word of God and began to read. It has been over 40 years since that day. I continue to read the Word, as I journey in this life; growing, stumbling, getting back up, always being refined by Him. Thank you Lord for forgiveness, grace and mercy!
Along my journey I became a wife, a wife who is still very much in love with her husband. (I got real lucky when I found that man, and he found me!) I was also blessed to become a very special name, and that is mom. My husband and I have three adult children, two sons and a daughter who have given us not only wonderful in-law children, but the cutest grandkids ever. (OK- I know -I may be just a tad bit biased!) We are fortunate to live near one another and worship our great God together with a local body of believers.
I love anything nature, animals of all kinds, our horses, though they don't get ridden much. I couldn't, wouldn't want to be without a dog! Love my little Dooley Doo, my sweet little wiener dog who has recently become blind and partially deaf due to age. He gets treated like royalty though!. I am a bit of a science geek. I taught science for 22 years to those hormonal 9th graders. Loved every minute! My passion has always been teaching. In particular, teaching and encouraging women through mentoring, speaking in large gatherings, or smaller intimate study groups. Though my favorite way of connecting with other women is simply sitting on my deck looking at the mountains with coffee and bible in hand as we discuss what God is teaching us and how He is at work refining us into His image.
If you've landed here at this site - I pray you feel edified and encouraged. Perhaps even motivated to open the Word, allowing the Holy Spirit to do it's work in you - drawing you nearer to God and refining you into the likeness of Jesus.
Onward!
